The Platinum Agency Owners' Laura Diane and Jay Rebholz are featured in the June 2009 issue of Vegas Magazine.Jay Rebholz and Laura Diane's relationship entails a lot of work. Not in the couples' counseling way, but of the daily-grind sort. As the owners of The Platinum Agency, a modeling and talent agency they opened almost two years ago, the couple fill a much-needed niche in a town that's always on the lookout for beauty.
It all started when Diane decided she needed a career change. "my knees started hurting," says Diane, a former Splash showgirl and a Pussycat Doll at Pure. "I'm 28, and I decided I couldn't dance forever." So she and Rebholz began brainstorming the next step. He'd worked as a talent manager, and the two of them had contacts all over Las Vegas. Their entrepreneurial idea: an agency that handles modeling contracts as well as providing beautiful talent as DJ's, go-go dancers, valet parkers and even supplying golf caddies through their Par Mate program with Walter's Golf.
"It's unbelievable how much work there is out here for these models," says Rebholz. Adds Diane, "It's not in every city that you can be a full-time model." -Kate Silver
